Contents:

Contractors are called upon to meet increasingly complex and complicated challenges when carrying out construction projects. These often technical challenges are added to the cost, quality and deadline requirements demanded by professionals when drawing up plans and specifications. The Quebec Construction Code, Chapter 1 - Building, adds a further obligation in terms of the objectives that all construction projects must meet, and for which contractors must respond with deliverables that comply with the code's requirements and recommendations.

In this training workshop, we will review the structure and objectives of the code, as well as some of the requirements of part 9 of the code. dd

The 1st part of this training course will focus on an overall and general understanding of the code: the different divisions that structure it, the objectives pursued, the functional statements and a distinction between parts 9 and 3.

Part 2 of this training course will be devoted exclusively to acceptable solutions for buildings subject to Part 9 (small buildings): taming some of the requirements of Part 9 relating to fire protection and means of escape.
