Estimators play a crucial role in securing construction projects. Their role involves interpreting plans and specifications, calculating material quantities, estimating work time, compiling data on material and human resources, analyzing subcontractor bids, calculating overheads and preparing the final project bid. In many companies, this function is performed by in-house resources who have solid experience in the field, but who have not necessarily received specific training in estimating. The aim of this training course is therefore to provide the knowledge, tools and proven techniques needed to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the people who perform this essential role within construction companies.
