WHAT IS THE R-20 ACT?
Since 1968, labour relations in the construction industry in Quebec have been governed by a specific law, the Act respecting labour relations, vocational training and manpower management in the construction industry, commonly known as Act R-20*. This law and the regulations that flow from it are at the crossroads of two broader sets of laws and regulations: the one that governs construction work and the one that governs labour relations.
